OpenNTPD is an independent partial re-implementation of NTP. It aims to be a simple, reliable, and highly secure implementation.

  • OpenNTPD does not have micro-second accuracy as a design goal
  • Unicast only; Multicast/Manycast/Broadcast modes not supported
  • No suport for NTP Authentication
  • No support for Reference Clocks
